Becky Melissa Harrington

Becky Melissa Harrington passed from this life in the presence of the Lord, surrounded by friends, family and loved ones on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the age of 43 after a long battle with breast cancer.

Born in Albuquerque, NM on November 11, 1980, she was raised in faith by Steve and Rachelle Fambrough of High Rolls, NM.  

She is survived by her father, Steve Fambrough of High Rolls; her husband of 6 years, Jody Harrington of Alamogordo; her two daughters, Nadine and Natalie Garcia of Alamogordo; her brother, Mark Fambrough and his wife Jennifer of La Luz; her brothers, Wayne, John and Daniel Fambrough of High Rolls; her grandmother, Ruby Millhouse of High Rolls, and all of her sisters; as well as nieces, and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her mother, Rachelle Fambrough; her uncle, Kenny Carroll; and her niece, Hailey Rose Fambrough. 

Becky is loved by all who knew her and will be remembered as a strong, brave, stubbornly independent, young woman who was driven to provide a better life for her and her children. Her loving nature made her easy to talk to during hard times. She was someone who truly understood others without judgment. Becky can be described as a light during dark times. Her passion was taking care of those she loved. She would go above and beyond for all those she cared for. Becky was also incredibly talented and creative. She loved to create one-of-a-kind projects, gifts, and artwork as well as remodel her home. Becky also worked in several salons as she perused her passion for cosmetology. 

Through her 13 year-long battle with breast cancer, Becky remained strong, happy, and full of life. Despite all of her struggles, she continued doing what she loved, and she never allowed her illness to hold her back. She worked, cooked, cleaned, traveled, and spent time with loved ones until the very end. Although she was afraid of the unknown, she never allowed it to prevent her from fulfilling her role as an amazing wife, a devoted mother, a loving sister, and a one-of-a-kind friend. She is truly loved and is deeply missed.
